Website Redesign: University Marketing and Communications
Following a reorganization of our department and a name change from Integrated Marketing and Communications to University Marketing and Communications, I led a team of three others in the website redesign.

Website Redesign: University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Home Page

After more than six years with the University’s old website design in the content management system, Plone, our Integrated Marketing Communications team at UW Oshkosh began the website redesign process for the University’s home page. The goal of the redesign was to build a responsive website to allow our audiences to access the website from mobile devices, as well as bring take our content strategy to the next level by highlighting content on the University’s home page.
The work started with trend research or competitive analysis on 125 home pages for universities throughout the Wisconsin, the Midwest and the nation, a Google Analytics analysis to see how users are currently accessing the site and what they are accessing and a wireframe. The wireframe went through multiple reviews and revisions prior to our design team taking on sections of the site. After the design went through several reviews and revisions it was applied to a static HTML site (outside of a CMS) to deliver content to users as quickly as possible in a responsive format.
After the site went through internal review and testing, it was linked to prominently on the University’s home page for the campus community to use the site in its beta form and provide feedback. The project addressed the University’s need to reach its many audiences—prospective students, current students, alumni, parents, employees and the community—on desktop, tablet and mobile devices while delivering high-quality content.

Website Redesign: Admissions

With a $350,000 recruitment marketing investment from the chancellor, the Integrated Marketing Communications team at UW Oshkosh began the website redesign process for the undergraduate admissions website.
The goal of the redesign was to make a responsive, user-friendly website to raise awareness for the opportunities at UW Oshkosh and increase applications to UWO. The work started with trend research or competitive analysis on 125 home pages for universities throughout the Wisconsin, the Midwest and the nation, a Google Analytics analysis to see how users are currently accessing the site and what they are accessing and a wireframe.
The wireframe went through client review and revisions prior to our designer taking beginning the design. The Admissions site was the first site built in WordPress, the University’s interim CMS solution, and was launched after our Web developer resigned from the University. The project addressed the undergraduate admissions office’s need to connect with prospective students and their parents, was mobile-friendly and launched with landing pages built for the undergraduate recruitment campaign. Campaign: UW Oshkosh Wellness Initiative

I worked with the UW Oshkosh Wellness Committee and project team to create an identity for the wellness initiative through a brochure, email banner, microsite and emails to the campus community.
First, we met to gather information on all of the University's wellness programs, and then I met with the project team to determine the best way to organize the content in print and Web formats.
The wellness committee efforts earned the University a 'Well Workplace' GOLD!

UW Oshkosh Division of Academic Support of Inclusive Excellence Website/Videos
I managed the UW Oshkosh Division of Academic Support of Inclusive Excellence website redesign, videos and profiles.
